It is with a very heavy heart that I am looking to rehome Reggie due to a combination of personal circumstances. Following a recent relationship breakdown and an increase in my working hours, I am no longer able to give him the time, consistency, and training that he truly deserves.
He will require neutering, and one testicle has not descended as of yet. My vet has advised that this is something that can be corrected during neutering and safely carried out within the next 6 months.
Reggie also has a folded-over tail, which occurred during a caesarean section birth when he was a very young puppy. This is purely cosmetic and does not cause him any pain or affect his mobility or quality of life.
Reggie knows his name well and responds to it, so it is important that his name remains the same in his new home to help him settle and feel secure.
He is still young and very much a work in progress. He is not yet fully toilet trained and, like many dogs his age, he is currently chewing and biting household items, which I believe is down to excess energy and lack of structured training rather than aggression. With the right routine, patience, and commitment, I’m confident he has the potential to become a wonderful companion.
Reggie would be best suited to an experienced owner or an active home where someone is around for most of the day and able to invest time into training, enrichment, and consistency. A home that understands young dogs and is prepared for ongoing training would be ideal.
This decision has not been made lightly, and my priority is finding him a safe, loving, and permanent home where his needs will be met. I am happy to answer any questions honestly and would like to ensure he goes to the right home rather than a quick sale.
