Behaviour & Temperament
Snow is a gorgeous, placid boy with a gentle nature.
Visitors to the Home
Snow takes to people almost straight away. He will approach, sniff, and is comfortable around visitors. He is calm and very sweet-natured, a very happy boy
Snow has shown no resource or food guarding behaviours. He does get excited for his food (which is expected), but he will sit and wait when asked.
Lead & Walking Behaviour
• Wears a collar and lead without issue — he lowers his head when he sees it.
• Walks nicely by your side, occasionally stepping ahead or to the side to explore and sniff.
• Walks well with another dog and tends to follow their lead or quietly potter about in his own world.
Children
• Has not been introduced to children. Based on his gentle temperament, he is believed to be suitable for children aged 5+.
• He can jump up when excited (particularly around food or when greeting), and as he is quite big, supervision would be advised. With continued training, this should improve.
Other Animals
• Has lived alongside a resident dog (Cavapoo) and gets on well. Does not necessarily need another resident dog but would be happy to live with one.
• Has not been around cats, and has not been cat tested. We haven’t observed any prey drive.
• Foster dogs are kept separate when left unattended, so behaviour when left alone with another dog is untested.

Toilet Training
Snow is largely toilet trained however training does need to be continued. Snow is let outside every few hours and does toilet outdoors, but he has had occasional accidents inside. He does not yet consistently signal at the door when he needs to go out. This is a work in progress.

Crate & Alone Time
• Crate trained — sleeps overnight in a covered crate. Settles well with a treat routine and verbal cue (“Night night Snow, time to sleep”).
• Initially rattled and bit the crate bars during the first few nights but now mostly settles well. Does not wake early; usually waits until morning.
• Has been left alone in a room for up to 3–4 hours and has coped well (monitored via camera).
Destructive Behaviour
• Only destroys soft toys (pulling them apart), which is typical play behaviour.
• Has not damaged furniture, carpets, or furnishings.
• Briefly bit crate bars during initial settling-in period.
Car Travel
• Has not yet travelled in a car.
Likes, Personality & Overall Opinion
Snow is an adorable, affectionate, and very placid boy. He loves sitting with you and enjoys attention but is equally content relaxing independently in another room.
He enjoys:
• Licky mats
• Kongs
• Rolling treat toys
• Soft toys (now plays and even fetches — something he didn’t do initially)
Snow will make a wonderful pet for the right home. He is gentle, loving, and calm, he truly is a special boy.
