Meet Raven, a beautiful and loyal Doberman looking for a dedicated new family.
We are heartbroken to be rehoming our dear Doberman, Raven, due to a recent, tragic incident involving our family cat. She is currently struggling to integrate into our busy household, which includes other cats, and for the safety and well-being of all, we must find her a suitable, strictly cat-free environment.
💖 Her Wonderful Qualities:
• Great with Children: Raven has been raised with our children and is very good-natured and gentle with kids she knows.
• Dog Social: She is generally good with other dogs when introduced slowly and properly (as is best practice with the breed).
• Well-Trained: She knows all her basic commands: Sit, Paw, Other Paw, Down.
• Loyal and Loving: She is a typical, devoted Doberman who thrives on human companionship.
🏠 The Ideal Home for Raven:
• MUST BE CAT-FREE: This is non-negotiable for her safety and success in a new home.
• Experienced Owners: Preferably someone who has owned Dobermans or similar large, intelligent working breeds.
• Understanding of Anxiety: She needs an owner who understands her need for space and confidence-building when out walking.
⚠️ Important Note on Her History (Please Read):
• Anxiety on Walks: Since being attacked by another dog at 16 weeks old, Raven can be anxious when people approach her on walks, which she expresses by barking. This is an anxiety-based behavior, not aggression, but requires an owner who can manage it calmly and help build her confidence through positive training.
• Cat Incident: The recent incident involving our cat was a catastrophic failure of management on our part. We are being completely transparent about this because she needs a home where this trigger is completely absent.
We are looking for a special person or family who can provide her with the active lifestyle, mental stimulation, and stable, cat-free environment she needs to truly flourish.
