Nellie is a gorgeous girl inside & out. We rescued her from a difficult situation & we’ve gotten to know her really well over the past 6 weeks. We just wanted Nellie out of the situation that she was in with the view to rehome her when the time felt right. She will be 4 years old in October. She is KC registered from show lines but a contract will be signed to state that she must be neutered so that she isn’t bred from again.
She loves absolutely everybody. She loves people, children & other dogs. She is the sweetest girl, her default is to cuddle. She just loves to be loved. *We are unsure what she is like with cats & small furries*
She didn’t know how to walk or fetch when we rescued her but she does now & she loves it! She also adores water! She is a good swimmer & will often just stand in our paddling pool splashing with her paws & she chases the splashes with her mouth. It’s like she is a puppy again.
Nellie would need a home preferably with another dog because she doesn’t like being on her own. She is likely to become well bonded quite quickly to another dog. The only place she has been able to settle in our home is in the kennel with our Labradors because she isn’t on her own & is bonded to our female Labrador. She is very content in her company. This would be something you need to have in mind if you are interested in her. She would suit a family where someone is in a lot of the day although it would benefit her to learn to be alone with another dog for a while.
Nellie is very food orientated which makes training easier. She will eat anything & so far we haven’t found anything that she is intolerant to. Having said this, she takes treats gently & isn’t overpowering.
Nellie is such a sweet little soul, she deserves to be with a family who can give her 1:1 training, care, love, a sofa to lie on & all the love in the world.
