His owner’s health is declining, and as a wheelchair user they are now unable to leave the flat or give Walter the life he deserves. This is not a choice made lightly… it comes from love and the heartbreaking understanding that Walter deserves more.
Because of this urgency, we have reduced his adoption fee to help him find a foster-to-adopt or forever home quickly, as we are currently short of foster places.
Walter is still just a baby… only 15 months old… and suddenly his whole world is about to change. Please don’t let him lose everything without having somewhere to go 🙏
🐾 Meet Walter
Walter is a beautiful 15 months old Cocker Spaniel x Beagle boy, full of life, love and personality. He was adopted earlier this year at around one year old and has been a much-loved companion ever since.
He is that perfect mix – he loves his outdoor adventures just as much as he loves curling up for warm cuddles with his human (or even a cat!). He is affectionate, social and very people-oriented, a lovely young dog who just wants to be close and loved.

Walter is a clever, active young dog who needs both physical exercise and mental stimulation. He would thrive in an active home where he can enjoy long walks, explore, and be part of daily life.
At home he is affectionate, warm and cuddly — a dog who will happily snuggle up after a good day out. He truly has a kind heart once he feels secure.
Due to inconsistency earlier in life, Walter has developed some behaviours that will need patient and experienced handling. He can show resource guarding and may snap, so he needs someone calm and knowledgeable who can guide him with consistency. He can bark at other dogs out of frustration if he cannot greet them, but he is not aggressive. He has dog friends and has lived around cats.

His owner says: “Walter will best live in a home with a garden with the freedom to run around. He needs someone active that’s able to take him on long works and maybe even runs. He needs a patience while settles, once you get through to him he has the kindest heart and you will never want to stop cuddling him.”
Walter needs a patient home with no young children. A home with a secure garden would be ideal, along with someone active who can give him the exercise and structure he needs.
He is a young, intelligent dog who just needs a chance and someone willing to understand him.
