❤️🐶 RADNA – A Truly Beautiful Soul Who Needs the Right Space to Thrive 🐶❤️
🏠 LOOKING FOR FOSTER OR FOSTER-TO-ADOPT 🏠
📍Currently at Lancashire OL7
🌟 RBU, post-adoption support & 4 weeks free insurance provided upon adoption 🌟
🐾 Radna is an affectionate young lady of around 2,5 years old — an elegant Estonian Hound with a soft heart and deeply people-oriented nature. She arrived in the UK just before ****************** to a great family, which adopted from us before, but unfortunately is not a good match for older people with small older dogs.
Radna is gentle, loving, and emotionally intelligent, the kind of dog who bonds strongly and wants nothing more than to be close to her person. She has the Beagle-like charm and soulful eyes, but with a calmer, more thoughtful temperament.
✨ Highlights
• SIZE: Medium (around 50 cm / 14 kg)
• SPAYED: Yes
• CHARACTER: Affectionate • Gentle • Cuddly • Sensitive • Loyal
• DOGS: Friendly, enjoys company, best as the only dog or with a confident dog her own size
• CATS: Good
• CHILDREN: Best with older, calm children (8+)
💔 Rescue Story
Radna was rescued from Kupiansk, a frontline town in the Kharkiv region, where homes were destroyed and many animals were left behind when people fled the war. Despite fear and chaos, Radna kept her trust in people. She survived not by hardening, but by holding on to gentleness — and that softness is still very much part of who she is.
📖 About Radna – Updated Information
Radna arrived in the UK just before ****************** and has been settling into home life. She has shown many wonderful qualities: she is clean in the house, travels well in the car, eats nicely, is gentle with cats, friendly with people, and eager to learn. She is working on her confidence and basic commands and responds well to kind, consistent guidance.
However, Radna is also a sensitive dog who forms strong emotional attachments. She struggles when under-exercised or when routines change and has begun showing signs of separation stress. During a recent short absence, she became so distressed that she chewed her own tail, which clearly shows how deeply she feels anxiety when left alone. She also seeks constant physical closeness, wanting to sit on laps and be petted, and can become attached to one person.
She enjoys other dogs and plays well, but she needs the right canine company — ideally a confident, medium-to-large friendly dog who can help her feel secure and grounded. She has done well with larger dogs and enjoys their presence far more than very small, timid companions.
🏡 Ideal Foster / Home
Radna now urgently needs a foster (or foster-to-adopt) home to prevent further emotional distress — ideally someone who is home most of the day, works from home, or can take her to work as an office dog. A countryside or semi-rural setting, or a home with a very large garden and good daily walks, would suit her best. Regular, meaningful exercise is essential for her wellbeing.
She would thrive as the only dog given that she will be not left alone or with another confident, calm dog of similar size, and with humans who understand sensitive dogs and can provide structure without pressure. This is not a failure on Radna’s part — she is simply a dog who needs the right environment to feel happy.
💖 Radna is a deeply loving dog. She has so much to give, but she needs the right setting to flourish — space, companionship, and people who can be present for her. We are hoping to find a foster as soon as possible, before the situation becomes harder for both Radna and her current carers.
