Description

"Meet our gorgeous Abbie" đŸ©· Abbie is a gorgeous almost 6 year old girlie originally from Bosnia. She found herself in a Kill shelter in Bosnia and was saved by a lovely rescuer. She has been in foster for approx 5 months in the UK with her lovely Mum and is looking for her forever home. If it were not for the severe allergy her foster mums daughter struggles with, Abbie would be going nowhere. This is what her foster mum has to say about our gorgeous girl. Please say Hi to Abbie xx This girl has got such a beautiful soul and she's so versatile in her ways. Happy to chill all day and have cuddles and belly rubs or go on long walks, she will just fit in with you. She's in general a laid back girl. She's eager to please and learn. She loves people and enjoys spending time with them but can get a bit excitable when visitors arrive or when she wants a cuddle but we are working on it and she will sit for a fuss now before getting excited again. She does calm down and will lay down and watch the world go by but we understand it all just comes from a place of love and wanting to be loved ❀ She lives currently with our 2 small 9 year old dogs and a medium sized 1 year old pup but she would be able to live as an only dog as she lives people so much. She will adapt to the situation at home. If only the older dogs are home she understands and just chills with them. If the pup is home she'll happily play with him. She can play rough so careful and slow introductions to any resident dogs then she'll be fine. She walks lovely on the lead and isn't phased by traffic. She loves sniffing. She's been fine on walks with horses but was interested in the squirrels. Not tested with cats that we know of but has seen them on walks. She does need work on her recall. She walks on an extendable lead once offroad and she is getting better in small steps. But she's not ready to be off lead as yet. She gets excited seeing other dogs and wants to play but can be a bit grumpy at first when they approach her but once interacted she loses interest and wants to get going. She's clean in the house and knows she needs to toilet outdoors. At night she sometimes needs encouragement to go for her last toilet as she's usually already settled for bed. Lol She doesn't chew and she isn't a barker.. she's barked 3 times in the 4 months she has been in foster. She can jump a low fence so she needs an enclosed garden with an higher fence. She's fine with travelling and enjoys the enclosed fields where she can be off lead. Abbie is great with the vet and doesn't mind being examined and is fine with nail clipping. She can be left if you go out without any problem. She'll settle down and sleep. She does like a place to call her own where she can go off to chill out. At the moment she spends some time in the back 2 rooms as my daughter has a severe allergy to her but when the gates are open sometimes she will still take herself back in there and onto her bed. As you can see she only has one ear but it doesn't affect her life. The fur has grown over it and she still looks stunning. I've had her examined and her ear drum isn't damaged but she may not have full hearing in the ear due to the ear canal being narrow but her other one is fine and she can hear the treat bag being opened from another room 😊. The vet said she will be more prone to ear infections than other dogs as she doesn't have her ear to protect the inside and may need drops to clear it up. But I feel like its a small price to pay to get to share your life with this amazing girl and hopefully the right person can look past this and give her the home she deserves. If you think you can open up your heart and your home to this special girl you won't be disappointed.
