Experienced Home Wanted – Belgian Malinois (Leeds) Male
We are looking to carefully rehome Zeus, our 4-year-old male Belgian Malinois. We’ve had him since a pup and this decision is due to work commitments and him missing out on the time and stimulation he needs.
Zeus is fully house trained and can be left alone in the house for up to 6 hours (not crated) but is also fine if crated. He does not chew or damage anything. He is used to two long walks a day, has excellent recall, knows several commands and tricks (sit, spin, run in a circle, etc.) and is muzzle trained.
He can be reactive to other dogs if they run up to him and can be wary of strangers approaching, especially in the dark or with hoods, but settles once properly introduced. He barks at the door but is fine once visitors are known. He has been fine around our three children when encountered on walks.
Zeus responds best to a confident, experienced, dominant owner and listens more to my male partner. He needs someone very familiar with the breed.
He was successfully rehomed for 3 months with an ideal owner but sadly had to return to us due to the owner having an unexpected stroke and spending lots of time in hospital. We will only re home him to someone experienced, has time and a suitable home which we will want to check out. We would keep him rather than him not going to the right place.
